Vampire Weekend join Raconteurs for Sessions gig

Vampire Weekend, dubbed by NME as the best band to come out of New York since The Strokes, have been confirmed as the support act for The Raconteurs' Eden Sessions concert in Cornwall later this summer.

The New-York band, whose self-titled debut album made a dent on the UK charts, will play ahead of Jack White of the White Stripes' new band on 29 June.

Earlier this year, Vampire Weekend became the first group to appear on the cover of Spin magazine before the release of its debut album and their track 'Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa' was named one of Rolling Stone's 100 best songs of 2007.
